Make Your Own Witblitz

Fascinated by Herman Charles Bosmans tales of witblitz and peach brandy?

Now you can partake in the alchemy of distilling wine to spirit and take home a 125ml bottle containing witblits at 45% alcohol strength.

Jorgensen Distillery, Regent Street, Wellington (off Main Road behind the Build It Hardware Store)

Cost: R1700 pp (includes lunch, notes and 125ml witblitz)

10:00 Welcome coffee. The day will start with Roger giving you a background and history of the distilling process in order to bring you up to speed about the magic that you will be witnessing.

12:00 13:00 The distilling process is initiated

13:30 A light lunch is served with local wine on offer

14:00 16:00 Distilling the blitz and also an insight in utilizing your spirit further to create various potions

Should there be interest, a follow up workshop can be arranged to teach you to make gin, liqueur, vodka, Limoncello and other interesting drinks, and a peek into Rogers laboratory
