The Inside Job is an alternative indigenous rock band from Paarl, formed in 2009. Each band member has more than 12 years of live experience in the music industry.
Band members: Drummer Melony Phoenixx, brings along a rebellious image and sound. Her brother, Lionel John, entertains with his versatile voice and Shawn Adams brings a party element to the performance. Together they make Paarlites proud when they rock the Paarl Rock. The band’s music ranges from hardcore to funk and ballads.
The Inside Job has been support acts for Karen Zoid, Jack Parow and Valiant Swart, to name a few. In 2012 they competed against 48 bands in a national Battle of the Bands and finished 2nd.
I’ve heard a lot of bands, but never a group that has the flexibility
to stretch beyond the realm of the ordained cathedrals of Rocking The Daisies or Oppikoppi.
